Conferment of CMLI Fellowship Awards

The Centre for Management and Leadership, Ilorin (CMLI) recognizes and celebrates excellence in leadership and management through the conferment of two prestigious awards:
This fellowship is awarded to distinguished professionals, academics, administrators, and leaders who have demonstrated:
Proven track record of leadership and managerial competence.
At least 10 years of progressive leadership or professional experience in academia, public service, corporate, or non-profit sectors.
Evidence of contributions to innovation, ethical practices, and institutional growth.
Publications, research, or notable interventions that have advanced leadership and management practice.
This honorary fellowship is reserved for eminent personalities whose visionary leadership, service to humanity, and remarkable impact in governance, industry, academia, or public service have distinguished them as role models. Candidates must have:
Achieved national or international recognition in their field.
Demonstrated outstanding contributions to society through leadership, philanthropy, or policy reforms.
Upheld values of integrity, excellence, and transformational leadership.
The Conferment Process
The award of Fellowship at CMLI follows a transparent and merit-based process:
Candidates may be nominated by individuals, organizations, or professional bodies.
Self-nominations are also accepted with supporting evidence of eligibility.
Nominees must submit a comprehensive profile (CV, evidence of achievements, publications, or impact reports) to dcmli@unilorin.edu.ng
The Fellowship Screening Committee reviews submissions against established criteria of merit, leadership record, and ethical standards.
Recommendations are forwarded to the CMLI Governing Council for ratification.
Successful awardees are formally decorated during the CMLI Distinguished Lecture and Award Ceremony or other special events of the Centre.
Significance of the Fellowship
The Fellowships of CMLI (FCMLI and Hon. FCMLI) are not just honorary titles, but also a call to greater responsibility. Recipients become ambassadors of CMLI’s vision to promote ethical, innovative, and transformational leadership for national and global progress.
